As a key contributor and leader of SysLogic, we are seeking a Director of Business Development -Business Intelligence Services to join our team. This role will focus on selling strategically aligned consulting and professional services for Business Intelligence, Information Management, Data Warehousing, and Data Solutions. The successful candidate will be able to significantly drive revenue growth in these service offerings and increase market share through direct outbound sales activities and promoting existing solutions and developing new areas of business. We seek a highly motivated and experienced individual, with strong business acumen and an ability to understand and effectively communicate the value of Business Intelligence Solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing sales plans to achieve and exceed the targeted revenue goals
- Developing Information Management and Business Intelligence lead generation strategies and plans resulting in targeted lead lists for outbound campaigns
- Direct outbound prospecting to generate net new opportunities
- Develop compelling value propositions for our Business Intelligence solutions based on a solid business cases
- Expertly manage sales cycles to effectively and efficiently win new business
- Forecast accurate numbers by effectively managing sales cycle stages
- Account management of existing clients to generate additional consulting business
- Work with Principals and internal subject matter experts to refine and create new business intelligence market solutions
- Working with the extended team to generate accurate Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Develop key partnerships and work with appropriate partner organizations to drive new business and mind share, with an Information Management/Business Intelligence focus
- Identifies and develops strategic business relationships with key decision makers including customer senior management. Builds relationships while positioning company for future prospects
KEY SKILLS
- Has practical understanding of and able to effectively communicate the value propositions for Business Intelligence, Information Management, Data Warehousing and Data Solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate the value propositions for these consulting services: strategy and planning, roadmaps, assessments, data governance, solution delivery, etc.
- Able to speak competently with both IT and business audiences as it relates to our services
- Understanding of recent big data analytic trends and key vendors in the industry
- Demonstrated ability to conduct qualification and discovery to uncover needs beyond the initial inquiry for up-sell and cross-sell opportunities
- Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for prospecting, presentations and helping prospects understand the value and needs for our services
- Able to uncover, map and navigate the internal landscapes of companies for the best paths in support of the sales cycles
- Able to identify and best leverage the group dynamics and motivations of individuals within prospect organizations
- Able to demonstrate consultative sales approaches and techniques
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Achieve revenue targets both quarterly and annually
- Develop sales plan within the first 30 days
- Achieve sales activity goals for monthly outbound calls, prospecting activities, and sales meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to travel to client locations and meetings, as necessary
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 5 years of success in related field as a revenue generating individual contributor
